Both professional musicians, Andrew and Deanna taught private lessons and performed part-time in Washington State. In 2012, they decided to take the family on an extended road trip to expose the kids to all kinds of music and help them grow as musicians. What started as a fun "busking vacation" has turned into a full-time career as a family string band. For the last two years, the family has performed in the summer months at The Cody Cattle Company in Cody, WY and at Barleen's Arizona Opry in Apache Junction, AZ for the winter months. In between, there have been performances at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, as well as fairs, festivals and private events across the US.
Their music is a high energy mix, covering artists from Louis Armstrong to the Beatles; Bob Wills to Merle Haggard . They bring a Western Swing flavor to it all, with twin fiddles, steel guitar, hard-driving upright bass, and honky-tonk piano. Everyone in the family contributes their unique talents and personalities for an exciting, musically diverse show.
