...Northwest Travels....

Here's a picture of the caravan we are traveling in this summer...
For parking purposes, the vans are actually switched around at this campground, but we pull the trailer with the gray van.
Almost to Weiser, ID which means the long drive is nearly over! We left Arizona on a Thursday morning, drove 1160  miles, stopped to play 2 gigs, and arrived Sunday afternoon. It was 113 when we left Phoenix, and temps hovered right around 100 and above for the first 2 weeks we were in the Northwest!
Good friends with an awesome boat showed us a fun time on Lake Couer D'Alene for the 4th of July!
Sold our first Swing Fiddle instructional book to old pal Singer...look how happy Sam looks in the background! It was great to get a chance to say hi to so many friends we had not seen in 3 years!
A few friends and "jam buddies" got together for a fun swing jam at Sam Saxton's house in Spokane, which was also our campground for a week. Thanks, Sam and Tina!
Stopped to visit another old neighbor and the kids got to ram around on his golf cart for a bit. They look like they had fun...
Jake and Brandon goofing off while we set up for our house concert at the Rockin' B Ranch in Liberty Lake, WA. About 150 friends, family, and former students braved the 103 degree heat to come out and say hi- and enjoy opening acts Rye River and The Croskrey Family too!
Andrew taught 32 students in his Western Swing class for the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Workshops in Moses Lake, WA. Jake, Zack, and I were his trusty assistants/rhythm section, and Mikaella Croskrey was his fiddle assistant. Everyone had a great time and learned a ton about swing fiddle and theory that week!
We have played a whole series of RV park gigs in Southern Idaho,Washinton, and Utah, with another couple coming right up. Busy camping season, and the hot weather makes everyone grateful to come into the air-conditioned Rec Hall for an hour of entertainment.
